TOWN GIRL BRIDE IN BROOKLYN n h 3C? MRS. KENNETH BITTENBENDER The former Miss Louise Yeany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman A. Yeany, of East Third street, who became the bride of Kenneth Bitten - bener in Brooklyn Saturday. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. F. M. Bittenbender. of West Fifth Street. Assembly Program On Educational Week I.wWhV A special Assembly service in honor of American Education Week will be held at the Teachers College next Monday morning, November 9th. at ten o'clock when several undergraduates will give talks in relation to the observance of American Education (Week. These presentations will be under the direction of E. N. Rhodes, * director of teacher training. Comes rfere Saturday With Even Record in Season's Play Slippery Rock, Nov. 4.???ln spite of inclement weather Slippery Rock State Teachers College football squad was sent through stiff practice sessions this week in preparation for their coming tussle with Bloomsburg Teachers at Bloomsburg, on Saturday. With a record of three victories and three losses to date the Green/ and White are anxious to chalk up 4 victory against their eastern rivals. Slippery Rock, not a contender for the Teachers College championship, due to their class B district schedule, nevertheless is anxious to avenge a 1934 setback at the handr\#f Bloomsburg.The Rockets v/ith a powerful defensive team, and an offensive that clicks until they are within the twenty yard line, then bogs down, are working hard to polish up their attack. The I Green and White have played but two I Teachers Colleges so far this season, Hosing a last second decision to West I Chester, and downing Indiana, claimants of the Teachers College crown. | They have lost decisions also to Gejneva, and Waynesburg's strong teams. They hold victories over Westminster and Grove City. Part of the Green and Whites strength lies in the fact that they are well fortified with reserve strength at every position. In the line Gibson, veteran end, "Bull" Wingrove, guard, ] and Burby, giant Freshman tackle, are outstanding performers in any game. "Bo" Meals, quarterback, and safety man, is a daring and consistent ground ??? gainer in the returning of punts. Schmidt, elusive halfback, is one of I the outstanding backs in the district.
