unknown cfj*<[l*fl7s one of the finest banquets ever held by active philadelphia branch bloomsburg state teachers college alumni association was saturday evening in north roof garden bellevue-stratford, philadelphia, and attended 175, in\ eluding more than a score from i bloomsburg. many prominent that section together with members j jthe faculty spoke students provided exceptionally fine entertainment as did some graduates. dr. d. j. waller, jr., president emeritus institution, gave invocation. group salute to flag sang "america." musical prelude mrs. rose buchheit, indiana, pa., included "vergebliche standehen," "fruhlingnacht," schumann, "love's admonition", rhys herbert. mellck presides during dinner edward l. foley "where'er you walk," handel "i love life", mann-zucca." music an instrumental trio directed miss katherine o'boyle. annie miller melick, swarthmore, daughter late c. w. miller, town, presided toastmistress friendship waller her father. she presented who given standing ovation claude hausknecht, now head department at west chester college, led singing "how do do, how do." impression would have made on early students. then such affair been considered impossible. he his pleasure meeting former bloomsi burg f. herman fritz, principal schools, viewpoint teacher. father | trustee secjond period served principal. mr. fritz part !
