Foundryville Man And Miltona Bolen Are Wed Recently r/ Mr. and Mrs. William Bolen, of 144 Davenport street, Plymouth, announce the marriage of their daughter Miltona and Goodwin Klinetob, of Foundryville. The bride, a graduate of Plymouth High School and Blooms-1 burg State Teachers College, is a member of the Plymouth Junior High School faculty. Greenville, Mississippi. Cadet Richie finished his primary flight training course at Air Corps Training Detachment. Helena, Arkansas, and upon completion of the basic training course he will go to p another air corps field for his final ten weeks of advanced training at which time he will receive his j ???wings??? and commission as a Second I Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps, j He is a member of the first class of Aviation Cadets to receive their j basic flight training at the Green- ; ville field that is considered one of the best training fields in the nail tion. Howard Deily, of Wert Third 1 Many Gifts Are Handled 12-25-41 Group from Teachers Col-1 lege Make Christmas I Happy for Many E The Waller Hall women of Bloomsburg State Teachers College I under the direction of Doctor Mar-! guerite Kehr, dean of women, and Miss Bertha Rich, assistant dean ,cd mo??? 'hnn 125 Christmas burg and vicinity Monday. The ages in the group range from one month to ninety years. The women wrapped, labelled and sorted the gifts into family groups. Some of these gifts were presented to the local Red Cross for distribution and the remainder of the gifts were delivered with the baskets of food which were prepared by the girls of the Social Service Club of the college. Waller Hall committee is as follows: Eleanore Athoff, Mt. Carmel, chairman; Grace Richardson. Hughestown; Irene Kornaski, Mt. Carmel; Rita Simpson, Wilkes-Barre; Ruth James, Taylor; Katharine Jones, Shickshinny; Margaret Robeson, Berwick; Helen Kotch, Wilkes- Barre; Sara Wagner, Pine Grove; Frances Brody, Nazareth. TIMMY Hinds, with his Gaw-ga t) drawl and all, is home for holii days from Guyton, Ga., where they M play basketball half the year and ] baseball the other half and do right J well with both. When Jimmy, fresh out of Blooms] burg Teachers College, moved into J the South a year ago he found lots J of interest in basketball but all of the team of the previous season had departed. , So Jimmy went to work to build J a new club and he did pretty good last Winter and probably will do j much better this campaign. : Start Early They start drilling for the court game early in the South, calling for ??? candidates about three weeks after , *,he school term opens. Before the holidays the Guyton boys had played five games and won them all. \ You can't do much better than that. Jimmy has a six foot, four inch center. He says the rest of the boys aren't so tall but they do all right And what pleases Jimmy is that all of them are juniors. Arranges Games Now at Collins, Ga., some hundred miles away and starting his coaching career is Leo Lehman, a graduate of the Teachers College of last May and a teammate of Hinds at the college. Both boys were honorary captains during their collegiate careers and played together on three Maroon and Gold elevens. Guyton and Collins, because they are some distance removed, haven t been meeting in athletics but the college teammates have arranged a home and home series of basketball games during the early part of the new year. Jimmy doesn t know how his boys will do but adds, "Leo sure has some big* ooys over at Collins." | Something To Work On I The arrangement of Collins and* Guyton brought to the mind of some of the local fans that perhaps a series night be worked out whereby the local boys could meet Guyton on a one game a season plan. You don't have to carry a larce "umber on a basketball trip and aside from transportation the cost to the school would not be large Jimmy would certainly like to brine his boys here or entertain the Pan ' thers down in Georgia. Hosier, 1 of Walnut street, Berwick announce r the marriage of their daughter El- j len Eudora, to Dr. Robert H. Kuhl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Kuhl, ! of Chestnut street on Christmas eve I at St. Louis, Missouri. Both bride and groom are gradu- I ates of Berwick high school. Miss I Hosier is also a graduate of the F Bloomsburg State Teachers??? College and is a teacher of the Ferris I Heights school building. Mr, Kuhl is a graduate of Penn- r sylvania State College where he I was a member of Theta Upsilon I Omega fraternity. Last spring, Dr. I Kuhl recei /ed his degree of Doctor [ of Medicine from St. Louis Univer-1 sity as well as a commission as [ officer in the United States Army Reserves. Search, of Chestnut street. The marriage was performed in St. Mark???s Lutheran Church, Baltimore, Md., on Monday, Nov. 3, 1941. The ring ceremony of the Lutheran Church was used with the Rev. Robert D. Clare officiating. The bride has been employed by the Lady Esther Lingerie Corp., and the groom is attending the officers training school at Fort Benning, Ga.
