ORGANIZATION MEETING OF TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
BLOOMSBURG, PA. was held this evening at 7:30 o'clock.
President James C. Stradling and all Members of Council
were present.
Pres. James C. Stradling exhibited his Oath of Office
and then administered the Oath of Office to &eo. C.
Welliver- J. Harlond Mellok and Robert Patterson, newly
elected Councilmen.
President Stradling named Paul D. Jacobs, Secretary
protem.
COMPENSATION OF TOWN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES FIXED:
Mr. Wenner & Mr. Welliver mooved that the compensation of
the tax collector be fixed at 2% on tax duplicate. To be
paid as tax is collected, returned or otherwise disposed
of. Bond to be furnished in the amount of $3,000.00.
Motion carried.
Mr. Melick and Mr. Wenner mooved that the compensation of
the Town Treasurer be 1% on all orders and bond coupons
when paid, no commission to be paid on temporary loans
or on bonds when paid, nor on payments made .to contractors
on Federal P. W. A. Projects or to concerns on W. P. A.
projects, nor on payments to the Firemen's Relief Ass'n.
Bond to be furnished in the amount of #3,000.00. Motion
carried.
Mr. Mellick and Mr. Leiby mooved that the Salary of the
^ecretary be fixed at $50.00 per month. Motion carried.
CHIEF OF
POLICE
Mr. Melick and Mr. W lliver mooved that the salary of the
solicitor be fixed at #200.00 per year with fees for the
preparation of legal papers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ohl 8c Mr. Wenner mooved that the compensation of the
Chief of Police be fixed at $170.00 per month. Uniforms
and overcoat to be furnished by the Town. Uniforms and
overcoat to remain the property of the Town. Chief of
Police to have one day off each week and two weeks vaoati
with pay. Motlor. carried.

ASST. CHIEFS Mr. Welliver and* Mr. Leiby mooved that the compensation
OF POLICE 0f the Assistant Chiefs of Police be fixed at #155.00 per
month. Uniforms and overcoats to be furnished by the Town.
Uniforms and overcoats to remain the property of the Townq
Assistant Chiefs of Rolice to have one day off each week
and two weeks vacation with pay. Motion carried.
FIRE ALARM

SPECIAL
POLICE
Mr. Patterson 8c Mr. Welliver mooved that the Salary of
the Fire Alarm Inspector be fixed at #30.00 per month.
Motion carried.
Mr. Ohl & Mr. Wglliver mooved that the compensation of
Special Police be fixed at 60^ per hour. Motion carried.
STREET Mr. Welliver and Mr. Patterson mooved that the Salary of
COMMISSIONER the Street Commissioner be fixed at #l60.00,per month.
Telephone to be furnished by the Town. Street Commissione!*
to have two weeks vacation with pay. Motion carried.

INSPECTOR
Mr. Leiby & Mr. Welliver mooved that the Salary of the
Janitor at Town Hall be fixed at #30.00 per month. Motion
carried.
Mr. Patterson & Mr. Wenner mooved that the Salary of the
Building Inspector be fixed at $40.00 per year. Motion
carried.
